Gamechanger I'm not sure where to start but I've been unwell for a considerable time and I haven't been able to venture into a salon. I was lucky enough to meet Emma on my spontaneous first visit - not only did she make me feel welcome, safe and relaxed - she gave me perhaps the best haircut I've ever had, she understood my hair, my health and my anxiety. So today I had my 1st ever full head of colour, etc with Emma. I'm still so happy - I wouldn't ever have been brave enough to spend that length of time in a salon but I loved it. You can't train Emmas skill, not just the hair, the people skills, the empathy - I am proud to say I'm booked to return in 8 wks and I won't let anyone else near my hair, ever. Sad that Ashley is leaving Been coming to Ashley and Barbie for sometime now .Ashley has been great helping me manage an issue I have with my hair .She will be missed .I will most likely keep coming because of Barbie but I wish the owner could keep his stylists. .My previous stylist Gillian was another loss who left at short notice . First time customer - yes I will be back! I am new to living in Wickford and this is my first time at Headlines, I was recommended by my mother in law who used to live in the area, and I am so happy with my hair colour and cut. I’ve had the same hair do for 15+ years at my old hairdressers and after moving house, and moving hairdressers, this was time for a change for me. I went for a balayage and creative cut and Kasey did an amazing job. I am so happy with the colour and Kasey was so lovely throughout. The other girl washing and toning my hair (sorry I didn’t catch a name!) also was so lovely and gave a really nice head massage. I am very happy with my new do, and the personalities of the people there were great, I will definitely be making this my new permanent salon. Great service Emma is always very professional and helpful. She listens to what I want for my hair but is very willing to discuss any concerns and to give useful advice. The junior, Nathan, also provides a great service and i recommend highly his head massage ! The salon is super clean and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Absolutely love!! Brooke has coloured my hair copper numerous times and everytime I slightly change it, however the results everytime are stunning! I couldn’t recommend more. The colour is always exactly what I want and flawlessly executed. Service:5 Value:5 Result:5 Cleanliness:5 Atmosphere:5

Disappointed Wasn’t happy at all - I saw a premium stylist - Throughout the appointment I was told my hair was to long, to thick & to heavy? Also was told that my hair won’t be able to have a curly/ bouncy blow dry (I’ve had plenty over the years and it’s never been a problem!) so she ended up curling my hair with straighteners (not what I wanted at all) I was in there for just over an hour (just for a wash and “blow dry”). Then was told because she over ran, I had booked in for the wrong treatment & ended up paying an extortionate price for a blow dry??? Even for her to curl my hair with straighteners the price was obseen!! My hair didn’t even last me until I got home, to the point I had to re do it myself (again not what u expect when you’ve sat in there for over an hour!!) What didn’t help she was telling me how she does blow drys day in day out for 30+ years!) so paid £50 to waste my time & still have to do my own hair. Due to her running so late with my appointment, I didn’t have time to ask/ question the price! Really really disappointed & not what I expected from a salon at all! I will be requesting a refund as I was absolutely gutted and fuming about it being over charged, not what I asked for & not even lasting 30 mins!!! She also found it funny that she had run late & when I said I had to be out by a certain time at the start of the appointment & checked if it would be okay, she said okay no problem - When i left, it was way past the time I had to leave by & she laughed in my face about it & a really muggy sorry - Very patronising & rude! I will however say, the young girl that washed my hair, done an amazing job (didn’t catch her name) & she also helped the “stylist” to help with my hair which was very kind & i appreciated so thank you!
