I've been going to Amoy Couture Salon for a little less than a year, and I honestly can't imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. When I first started going, my hair was only chin length. Thanks to Amoy's protective styling techniques and the care she puts into maintaining healthy hair, my hair is now well past my shoulders. I couldn't be happier with the results. I have been using the same bundle since my very first visit. Every three months I have it taken down, washed, and reinstalled, and it still looks amazing. It has not shed, it is still incredibly soft, it looks completely natural, and it blends perfectly with my own hair. The quality is truly exceptional. The experience is just as amazing as the results. The salon has such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. It truly feels like a spa. I got a silk press here a couple of months ago and it was fantastic. My hair had so much movement and shine. It lasted about 2 weeks and could've lasted longer if I hadn't exercised. Highly recommend, im going back to get a closure sew-in in a few weeks!

Being introduced to Amoy by a friend of mine literally changed my life. I am a black woman with \"mixed\" type 3c/4a hair. I have never felt beautiful with my natural hair because it has always been very thin and short. I got my first ever curly sew in earlier this month and I am obsessed. I have thought about doing this for the past 3-5 years, but have never felt confident enough with a hair dresser that they could pull it off properly. When speaking with Amoy, I always felt comfortable and in good hands. She strikes the perfect balance of supporting your hair vision, but also making suggestions based on her expertise (Ex: where to place my part) to end up with the most beautiful result. Her hands are gentle and she did not create traction with the sew in, and so far I am beyond thrilled. I never knew a curly sew-in could look so good and so natural! I have never taken so many selfies of myself before! My friends even tell me I am \"glowing\" with new confidence. My friend was right- Amoy is amazing! And all of the other staff there are also so kind and knowledgeable. I really liked Ian as well. And the other clients in the salon are also so friendly. Every time I am there I strike up pleasant conversation with other women in the salon. For reference- I have attached the before photo so you can see how good the end result is!

Great AMAZING staff

After decades of going to other high-end stylists with celebrity cred, I’ve been going to Amoy Couture for two years and at this point, can’t imagine going anywhere else. When I started working with her, my hair was in terrible shape from over-processing and health issues; it was dry to the point of being brittle, breaking like crazy and coming out in patches. Two years later, it’s longer than it’s ever been (almost mid-back), thick and lustrous. She does custom color with impeccable taste and ability to visualize what works best on me. And she is an extraordinary stylist; strangers literally stop me in the street to compliment my hair. It’s amazing.

This review is for my wife who has been trying many methods of hair extensions over the years in various salons and different cities all over the United States. We stumbled upon the closest business to where we live, Amoy Couture, on Lexington Avenue on the Upper East Side. To our surprise, it turned out to be the best salon my wife has ever been to. Not only did they do an excellent job with beautiful hair, but they also offered a very fair price. The shop is immaculate, and the employees who work for AMOY are friendly and super qualified in their artistic abilities.

This review is long overdue. I started seeing Amoy in 2021 after my hair fell out from being overprocessed at another salon. By the time my consultation came, I all but lost hope. Amoy took a look and came up with a plan of action, starting with the most gorgeous extensions for a protective style. The color she suggested turned out to be absolutely stunning too. Not only is she herself amazing, but so is her team.

I have been a client of Amoy’s for almost 5 years now. She is unrivaled in her expertise and service. My installs are incredible and my hair is as long as my installs and healthy and thriving because of her focus on hair health, style and process all at once. The salon is clean and in an amazing neighborhood. In addition, the staff is knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I highly recommend Amoy’s salon. I’ve tried other “celebrity” stylists in NYC and literally none compare. One even gave me a lot of breakage and a bald spot— which Amoy saved me from.

Amazing salon with amazing staff. Amoy colored and styled my hair. Janet did my shampoo and rinse. Both treated my hair with such tender care. The salon is very a relaxing space. I had no idea my hair could look so good! As soon as I stepped out the salon I had random strangers compliment my hair. Amoy is truly gifted!
