The Company: Claire Davies Hairdressing, Uckfield, East Sussex Claire, the salon owner, has been hairdressing for 30 years. After training at Brighton Technical Collage she worked as a stylist in three salons before ending in Eastbourne. Then aged 23 she left hairdressing for a year of hot air ballooning in France and then America. On her return she became manager of both Army &, Navy and Debenhams salons in Eastbourne for Essanelle. Alongside management, Claire also worked as a regional trainer for the company’s Hampshire salons as well as in her own. During that time she attended regular courses at L’Oreal, Wella and Vidal Sassoon academies in all areas of hairdressing. In 1995 ‘Partners 4 Hair’ was established in Uckfield with her then business partner Lena, who Claire later bought out in 2007. She changed the business name to Claire Davies Hairdressing Ltd., decorated and redesigned the salon in 2009 – now with its upstairs designated men’s grooming area and Hair Spa. Claire’s aim has always been to grow the salon and develop the team to a successful future.
