Our ‘West End’ Cheynes Salon at 3 Drumsheugh Place is situated in the heart of the beautiful West End of Edinburgh.

The West End is one of Edinburgh’s best kept secrets; a glorious network of Georgian streets tucked away just behind Shandwick Place. In the surrounding streets, stylish boutiques and some of the city’s best loved bars and restaurants live side-by-side with inspired architectural and design practices, all set amongst the highest concentration of professional services companies anywhere in the city. We are also just a few minutes walk away from the renowned 5 Star Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

The fantastic team of hairdressers at Cheynes have a wealth of talent and experience. The colouring team is led by Lee Anne who has earned a reputation as one of the Top Colour Technicians in the UK. We also have a very experienced Beauty Therapist who does wonderful treatments.

We have two ‘newly’ promoted Salon Directors, LeeAnne and Jayne who are ably assisted by our Manager Cheryl and a fun, enthusiastic team look after you in this lovely spacious salon.

On holiday from the States and just had the most amazing Blowdry and perfect beachwave style from the incredible Frankie at the Bruntsfield location. First time styling my hair and she was spot on! I left with amazingly polished beach waves while enjoying Frankie’s amazing personality and kindness. How did I find Cheynes and Frankie? By following Cheynes on IG and marvelling over Frankie’s masterful work. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, Frankie and Cheynes!

I\'m so happy with my haircut by Eve from the George Street branch. I was nervous to get my hair cut by someone new, especially after a bad experience I\'d had previously at a different hairdresser chain, but Eve really listened to what I was after and gave me a lovely layered do. She also gave me a tutorial on how to style it at home. So chuffed with my experience, thanks so much Eve.

Edinburgh George Street, is a top class salon. Been getting my hair done by Jason for over 15 years and he is at the top of his game. He remembers even the smallest detail and is incredibly attentive and a perfectionist. He is also very entertaining which is a bonus! Michelle is such a bright light as you enter and nothing is too much trouble.. A necessary shout out to Bianca and James too who are super. To be honest everyone in the salon is of a very high standard right down to the newbies. The manager must be very proud of the team he has created. In this climate of extreme competition- well done guys - it’s a pleasure to visit.

Cheynes is by far the best hairdresser in Edinburgh. I\'ve been a customer for over 30 years and absolutely love my visits! My amazing and very patient hairdresser (I\'m OCD) is Claire at the George Street salon.
