Amy was warm friendly and knowledgeable. I had a facial and the entire treatment was wonderful. Amy was attentive, conscientious and did a great job. My pedicure went awry, totally my fault, however Amy & her colleague Sophie were very helpful & accommodating. Lucy finished off the pedicure, a fantastic demonstration of what a great team dynamic looks like in practice. Outstanding service from start to finish.

It was so relaxing and it gave me an amazing glow after. I had just finished my exams and so i wasn\'t able to take care of my skin properly, but the facial I booked here completely changed my face. My skin was very dull and was not hydrated. The staff member asked me what my skin type was and asked if I had come with any particular problem in mind, which I appreciated as they would have tried to tackle that problem in my session. It left my face with a radiant glow and any irritated patches on my skin had completely vanished! The room was very clean and the atmosphere was very calm. The staff I met were very nice, friendly and polite which was major in this lovely experience. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I will 100% recommend and come here again.

Had a lovely time with my daughter as a surprise for her 21st, never been before & was blown away how beautiful it was, all the staff are very welcoming & friendly, a very private, cosy, calm & relaxing spa room Lots of treats & the treatments were amazing, melted into the couch after a full body massage & the facial was so lovely & refreshing Thankyou x

Wonderful massage. Cienna listened to everything I said about my back and neck. Her pressure was just right throughout the treatment. And the neck, scalp and face massage at the end almost sent me to sleep it was so relaxing! I\'ve already booked my next treatment!

Great treatment

Always a brilliant treatment. I suffer with a lot of pain due to medical condition and I find this hugely beneficial and gives great relief. I usually drift off to sleep and Cienna is able to do quite strong massage to relieve my muscle tension. Comfortable and quiet venue. Sonia Redpath

I’ve recently been disappointed with some of the North East Spa’s I’ve visited, so am delighted to have found the fabulous City Retreat in Jesmond. A truly bespoke facility with beautiful private changing area and sauna/steam chill room, ideal for one of my daughters who wears a headscarf. The staff were friendly and welcoming and both of my daughters loved their relaxing massages. The extra refreshments were a lovely touch, especially the cupcakes which were checked for nut allergies. An overall lovely experience, we can’t wait for our next visit.

It was our first time having a spa experience and everyone was so lovely. We decided to get a split treatment of a massage and facial! Both were extremely good and I had a lot of comments on my skin afterwords! As someone who suffers with sensitive skin/eczema, my skin is never a positive topic, so this was very nice for me! I can’t wait to go back!

I had a hot stone full body massage, the whole experience from start to finish was incredible. The staff on reception were so welcoming. The therapist who carried out my treatment was extremely professional, explaining how the treatment would work and what to expect. The room was stunning, so warm and incredibly relaxing, the temperature and lighting was perfect. The massage was genuinely the best I have ever had, the whole process was so relaxing and enjoyable. The therapists was clearly very experienced and passionate about what she does as it clearly showed. Overall a fantastic experience, one I have told everyone about. I will most certainly be back and can\'t recommend City Retreat enough it\'s above and beyond anywhere else I have been.
