When we opened Darren Michael Hairdressing in Oldham in April 2005 our aim was to create a salon at the forefront of the latest hairdressing techniques & trends, where clients could relax and de-stress knowing their hair was in safe hands.

We quickly established ourselves as the best hair salon in Greater Manchester, offering a wonderful range of hair services including hair cutting & styling, hair colouring, colour correction, men's hair styling and bridal hair.

Clients are greeted with a warm welcome and often comment on our exceptional customer service.  They love that we offer an iron-clad guarantee which means we will not stop until we have created a hairstyle you adore!  We also believe it is important you can keep your hair looking sensational long after you have left our salon, so we offer home haircare tips so you can feel good every day for life!

    I did my research and am delighted I have found such an experienced hairstylist/colourist that Amanda is, plus the added bonus of being such a lovely lady.i come from Brentwood Essex( the Towie town!) it’s very important to look good and am still being complimented on my hair daily weeks later. The cut and colour Amanda gave me are perfection, and it’s worth travelling to find that.

    I had the last appointment of the day with Amanda who was so professional and helpful. I have a disability that means that I can’t attend to have my hair looked after as often as I would like. However Amanda always looks after me and gives good advice on how I can look after my hair in short easy steps for me to manage my hair. I can only HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE YOUR HAIR LOOKED AFTER BY ANY OF THE TEAM, I personally like Amanda doing my hair but I know that should she not be available that any other member of the team will look after my needs in a professional manner.

    Amanda is a real credit to the team, she literally saved me shaving my hair off as another hairdresser had made an absolute mess of my natural long curly hair. Amanda reassured me and although the damage was done and I had to have my long hair cut short Amanda actually styled it stunning and into a style I can replicate myself.
