Salon recommended to me and I wasn’t disappointed Felt welcomed as soon as I arrived and I enjoyed the lovely salon experience. Following my discussion with Rhian, I had full confidence and trusted her judgment to give me a style that would suit me . You were friendly but professional throughout the appointment and I love the outcome.

I had appointment with Rhian for the permanent colour, I asked very specifically to match my natural hair colour as I just wanted to cover the grey hair starting to come through on front of my head. My natural hair is very light chocolate brown and I was shocked when they washed my hair that it was so dark it almost looked black (maybe 2 on the scale, definitely on black side of brown). I could see immediately that the hair looked way too dark and nothing like my natural colour. I said to Rhian that I was not happy with how dark it was to which she said that it probably feel little too dark because I was used to the greys making my hair looked lighter. I had colour done before and never walked out with shade so massively off, don't know if she mixed the colour wrong or just totally misjudged it. I left very disappointed and now considering my options of how to make my hair at least one tone lighter somehow without damaging my hair.

I have been going to Harriet for nearly 10 years and she has navigated me through lush, thick hair; then through troubled times and now through the joys that menopause is having on my hair. She is kind with her advice and only offers it when asked. We have tried several colours and styles and balances my excitable choices with what might suit me. I trust her completely and highly recommend. Also the whole experience is enjoyable and the food is amazing.

Amber is a fantastic hairdresser. She listens to what clients want and cuts with detail and precision.

Kelly gave me some good advice and recommendations. Did a fab job, really pleased. Already booked next appointment.

I find all the staff to be friendly and helpful at Ken Picton's. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing and I feel comfortable there. I've never had a poor customer service experience and I have been going for some years now. Rhian has cut and coloured my hair for the last couple of years now. She is absolutely lovely, listens to what I want and nothing is too much trouble for her and does a great job with my hair-she is an absolute asset to the Salon. I am one very happy customer- thank you

It’s been about 9 years since I last came to Ken Picton as I had moved. Coming back the welcome and service was great. Rhian listened and I came a way with exactly what I wanted.

I’ve thought long and hard about sharing feedback this time. I’ve been a loyal customer for well over 20 years and had a fantastic experience with Amanda and Amber. But the reality is that the experience at the salon has changed massively over the past year and particularly over the last 3 visits. I feel increasingly that my loyalty and business isn’t recognised or appreciated. The front desk experience these days is brusque and unwelcoming to say the least - on the last 2 occasions both arriving and leaving I have been made to feel that I am taking up staff time and distracting them from something more important. I recently introduced a friend, as Amanda is such a brilliant colourist, but the experience she had with the reception team was poor on two phone calls and during her visit - I was embarrassed to have made the recommendation which was only rescued by the brilliant work of Amanda and Stef. Maybe it’s time to reconsider the customer experience, finally fix the broken chairs at backwash and retain loyal customers? I wonder if there will be a response to this feedback and will be very happy to discuss in further detail. Jane
