10/10 experience today, came as a balayage model through Aimee for Emma and Rachel. I gave them a ginger/copper bird nest and they transformed my hair, beyond belief. Everyone was so lovely and the girls really went above and beyond, I thoroughly appreciate what you did and will absolutely be back! Thankyou so much again girls❤️

I had the very best haircut with Garry. He cuts with skill and expertise. He really took the time to listen to what I wanted and the result was exactly what I hoped for. I am so delighted. My hair feels in prime condition. Thank you so much.

Great salon where they care about customer. Since arriving until leaving I felt welcome, very friendly atmosphere. I come with some burnt curls and leave with a really nice bouncy and healthy hair. Thanks Rach, you did a great job!!

They're brilliant. I have curly hair so colouring and cutting requires a different skill. All the girls are curly cut trained I believe and Chloe is especially good at working with type 3-4 hair, she really understands the differences with curl pattern and has taught me a few things.

I had such a great experience with Megan from start to finish. The consultation was really thorough—she took the time to listen to what i didnt like and what I wanted, offered honest advice, and made suggestions that actually suited my hair type and lifestyle. I felt completely understood before we even started.

The colour turned out beautifully. It was exactly what I had in mind, with a really natural blend and great attention to detail. You can tell they genuinely care about getting it right rather than rushing the process.

The cut and blow dry was completed by Ellie who was just as impressive—clean, precise, and easy to manage at home, which is always a big plus.
Both ladies checked in throughout to make sure I was happy with the length. shape and colour

Chloe does my hair and she is fabulous, really understands curly hair, great with colour and has really helped me to enjoy my hair again and given me the confidence to try different things. Best salon in Edinburgh! Finding a stylist who actually listens and has banter plus can nail a root touch-up while keeping the overall color looking fresh and natural is rare! My hairdresser, Emma, did an incredible job. The transition from the roots to my natural colour is seamless and my hair feels healthier than when I walked in. The salon environment is super welcoming and professional. Highly recommend for anyone needing expert color work!

Amazing cut and colour by Ellie she was amazing and very knowledgeable!

This is my first time doing my hair at McGills. My appointment was cancelled and moved earlier last minute. I arrived on time but the salon staff hadn’t opened yet. Since I was the first customer the water for my wash was very cold. I wanted my hair to be healthy again but the stylist missed a fair number of my dead ends which I kept pointing out to her. I’m quite disappointed. The coffee I was offered arrived right as the hairdresser was hair spraying my hair (and so went straight into the coffee).
She didn’t offer to show my the back of my hair to see if I liked the layers.
I do not feel as though £50 was worth a cold shower and a milky hairspray cup. Not to mention the head cold while my hairdresser addressed customers at the desk.

From the moment I walked through the door I had a great experience.
Ellie was very attentive and helpful. Very happy with my haircut and will be back in the future. Thank you
