BA 1 Hair

I have been in a bit of a parenting bubble and not taken time for myself for one too many years (ok try nearly 12) & was just feeling a bit shabby & unkept. I kept seeing people with gorgeous hair around & about & would ask them where they got their hair cut…and everyone would say Zac at BA1. Expensive but worth it. So after umming & ahhhing & looking & sitting on it, I eventually just did it & booked and put myself entirely in Zac’s hands to do what he does best just as he had for all those people I’d seen about town. Quite truthfully just meeting & chatting with Zac himself was an absolute highlight & treat in itself. Such an uplifting, inspiring, kind guy. I’d go back just to hang out with him! But in terms of the actual hair cut experience…it was so relaxing, from the welcome drink, to lovely customers enthusiastically welcoming me to the BA1 family of customers, to the comfy hair wash with electric footrest & head massage, to the stunning environment & hair that looked so good I didn’t think it was my own! I feel like my whole soul got a treatment. Already booked my husband & son in! And I’ve finally found my hair cut home/community. Thank you. Best decision I’ve ever made hair wise! Very happy. I had never had my hair coloured (50 years old!) and was a little apprehensive, but I struck gold - I could not have been recommended a more talented and understanding colour master than Beth. She helped me turn a corner with feeling better about my hair loss by not only making my hair look fuller (subtle depth and goldy highlights on naturally red hair) but also, dare I say it, a little glamorous! It looks entirely natural, even after many weeks of growth, which was a big question of mine. She adapts the colour to the seasons and when I have suggestions she understands before I’ve even finished asking the question and adds it to her own wizarding colour mix. Could it get any better? Well actually, yes! Beth also applies her magic arts to cutting my hair in a sympathetic and creative way that makes the most of what I’ve got and also works with my pretty low maintenance approach. She listens and understands exactly what I mean when I make requests and knows how to actually apply it, seemingly effortlessly. Being willing and able to combine my suggestions with her own artistry means a lot when you’ve got tricky, curly, thinning hair and you know how it behaves out of the salon and what works and what doesn’t. I had almost given up on my hair but now I am appreciating and making the most of what I’ve got, not dwelling on what I’ve lost. If you’re feeling a bit flat about your hair, don’t give up, there’s always Beth.

Everyone at BA1 care smile welcome and have fun! It’s a lovely place to be and such a treat to be looked after as I always am. I’ve been coming here for almost 40 yrs and that shows what a salon it must be. Very sad that Phil is retiring but he has reached another stage of his life. So good luck and ,love to dear Phil. Thank you for today Eddie very professional Zac very attentive and Ava superb with my colour. Coffee wonderful shampoo and massage and Eddies sharp scissors made it all a joy to be there!! Vicki x

Katie is a lovely young woman and a really good hairdresser, she is very much a perfectionist, just what I like.

Eddie always does what I ask him and makes a great job of it - he is also very friendly and kind .

As always Ava did a wonderful job and I left the salon with a fantastic blow dry and feeling a million times better than when I walked in. Ava is a superstar!!

Always excellent in every aspect. Billy’s attention to my hair and getting it right is always spot on!! All the staff are friendly and efficient. My favourite trip into Bath !
