Tom and his team have been looking after my head of hair for almost a decade! Tom is an eleventy out of ten, and the salon and all staff are an absolute vibe. My haircut is a serious highlight in my week, and I always leave with a belly laugh and a cracking hair cut! This salon is seriously the best. ✌️

Shannon is phenomenal - my hair has never looked this good! The tone is beautiful and the precision of the foils makes my colour look so natural. This is a salon that wants to not only have you walking out looking amazing but cares about educating you on how to take care of your hair and preserving your look. Couldn\'t be happier!

I’ve been coming here since 2019 and honestly can not look back. The staff, the knowledge, the experience is truly one of a kind. Their whole philosophy behind hair, sustainability and equality is game changing in the hair industry. Tom has created a truly inspiring environment and his team are honest shining examples of what a stylist should be. Special mention to Tegan who has gone above and beyond over the last 2 years and has whole heartedly supported my blonde journey.

I absolutely love coming to SSBD and especially seeing the incredibly talented and crazy cool Becc. All the staff are so wonderful and accomodating. To me, SSBD really make the comfort of their client’s a priority. The team here will never rush you out and they will always take their time to really assess your expectations and to work with you to achieve your hair goals. Also, Becc just such an incredible personality but she is able to take my hair visions and turn them into reality. I really can’t sing her praises enough. I’ve been to other salons in the past and none of them were able to achieve what SSBD can.

I never used to go to the same hairdresser twice. I’ve now been going for a couple of years and I love it there. All the staff are super lovely and always take time and care to help with my hair needs. I always leave their salon feeling a million bucks.

Tegan is such a talented and thoughtful stylist. She listens to what you request and executes it to perfection. She is caring and truly commits to making a connection with her clients. I have trusted Tegan for a year now and my hair has never looked better.

Had the greatest time at the salon. Carla did an amazing job on my hair, I love it. She also took the time to explain all the technical elements regarding the scalp bleach issues I had from a previous salon and the banter was good :) already booked to come back.

Bec is beyond excellent. Coming to the hairdressers is Iike catching up with an old friend. I’ve stuck with her for years because she knows my hair & what I like, plus it’s in the best condition it’s ever been. The vibe in this salon is so inclusive and friendly.

I felt so taken care of. I had a really long treatment which included long hair balayage and then colour. However it didn\'t feel long at all! By the end of the day I was more than pleased with how my hair turned out and i felt relaxed. Also Carla is amazing. She was so thorough with her phone consultation and on the day. She explained everything very clearly and her attention to detail was very reassuring. She was good at scoping out how I was feeling too (me being new to such a big hair job) leaving me calm. All in all my hair looks great and I feel great!! P.s. tea and biscuits were such a nice touch

I am in Melbourne temporarily from the NT and called on the recommendation of my Darwin hairdresser. I am very appreciative that they managed to fit me in at quite short notice. The staff were warm and welcoming and the service they provided was excellent. I am very happy with the result.

6 years ago I made the decision to cut my extremely long hair into a pixie cut. I had never been able to find a hairdresser that I liked and so approached this with a lot of research. Every decision she makes is thought out and every cut is precise, she knows exactly what I like and what best suits me. I have NEVER left Rubi with hair that I don’t absolutely love!

Bec cuts my hair and I always love what she does. The service here is always friendly and welcoming. One of the only hairdressing salons I\'ve actually enjoyed going to. And they never put pressure on you to buy products or extra treatments. Highly recommend!

Where to start?! My hair was incredibly dry and damaged after having a baby and using the wrong products for a long time.... Tom worked absolute magic with my hair and I love it. I had my haircut done today for the first time after months of lockdown and It was Worth it! I wanted to try this salon since the reviews have been great and I definitely agree. I had Tom cut my hair and he was very professional and he knows exactly what he was doing. He genuinely listened to my requests and gave me suggestions on what looks good on my hair and those were really helpful! I\'m very happy with my hair and it turned out exactly how I wanted it. Highly Recommended!
